Part II — Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to alegant.eu. By accessing or placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before completing a purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your order shall apply.

2. Eligibility

By using our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. Orders placed on behalf of a business entity may only be submitted by an authorised representative.

3. Products & Orders

We take great care to present each piece as accurately as possible. Please note that slight variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our jewellery and differences in screen calibration.

Placing an item in your cart does not constitute a reservation. A binding contract is formed only upon receipt of our order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors or stock unavailability, in which case a full refund will be issued promptly.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfer. All transactions are processed securely. alegant.eu does not store your payment details.

For international orders, your bank or card provider may apply currency conversion fees, for which we bear no responsibility.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on alegant.eu is the exclusive property of Michal Svoboda / alegant.eu and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, alegant.eu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the order in question. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Czech data protection law. We are committed to handling your information with the utmost discretion.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Czech courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence. EU customers may refer disputes to ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Part III — Shipping Policy

9. Our Shipping Promise

At alegant.eu, every order is prepared with the same care and attention as the piece itself. Each jewellery item is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition, wherever in the world you may be.

10. Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. During peak periods or for bespoke and personalised orders, processing may take slightly longer — we will notify you promptly should this be the case. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next available business day.

We ship worldwide from our fulfilment centre in the United States. Estimated delivery times are as follows:

These are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing, public holidays, or carrier delays beyond our control.

12. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and chosen delivery method. We are pleased to offer complimentary standard shipping on all orders above [amount] EUR.

13. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to monitor your shipment in real time. If you have not received your tracking information within 3 business days of your order confirmation, please contact us at team@alegant.eu.

14. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

As we ship from the United States, international orders — including those delivered within the European Union — may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees upon arrival in the destination country. These charges are entirely the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our shipping fees or product prices. We are legally required to accurately declare the contents and value of all shipments and are unable to mark orders as gifts or understate their value.

15. Packaging

Each alegant.eu piece is dispatched in our signature luxury packaging, designed to protect your jewellery during transit and to make every unboxing a memorable experience. Our packaging is thoughtfully made with sustainability in mind.

16. Failed Deliveries & Returned Parcels

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier will typically leave a notification with instructions for redelivery or collection. Should a parcel be returned to us due to an incorrect address, failed collection, or refusal of delivery, we will contact you to arrange reshipment at your expense. alegant.eu is not liable for parcels lost or delayed due to an incorrect delivery address provided at checkout.

17. Lost or Damaged Shipments

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us at team@alegant.eu within 7 days of the expected delivery date. We will investigate the matter with the carrier and work swiftly to find a satisfactory resolution. We strongly recommend retaining all original packaging and photographing any damage upon receipt.

Part IV — Return & Refund Policy

19. European Union & Czech Republic

In accordance with Czech and EU consumer protection legislation, EU-based customers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of receiving their order — no questions asked. To exercise this right, please notify us in writing within the 14-day withdrawal period by contacting us at team@alegant.eu. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your returned item, inclusive of standard delivery costs, to your original payment method.

Governed by Czech law (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

20. United Kingdom

Customers in the United Kingdom benefit from a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, beginning the day after delivery. Refunds are issued within 14 days of the returned item being received.

21. United States & Canada

We gladly accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in their original, unused condition. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving the return.

22. Australia & New Zealand

Your purchase is protected under Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. You are entitled to a refund or replacement for items that are faulty, not as described, or fail to meet acceptable quality standards. For change-of-mind returns, we accept requests within 30 days of delivery.

23. Rest of World

For customers outside the regions listed above, we offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions outlined below.

24. How to Return an Item

To ensure a smooth and seamless experience, all returns must meet the following conditions:

The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition
All original packaging, tags, and accessories must be included
A return request must be submitted before shipping the item back

To initiate a return, please contact us at team@alegant.eu with your order number and reason for return. Our team will provide you with a personalised return authorisation and instructions within 2 business days. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service. We are unable to accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

25. Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, your refund will be processed within the timeframe applicable to your region. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty or incorrectly dispatched. Customs duties and import taxes are non-refundable.

26. Faulty or Damaged Items

In the unlikely event that you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with a brief description and photographic evidence. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you, including return shipping.

27. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and quality assurance reasons, the following cannot be returned:

Personalised or custom-made products
Sealed goods opened after delivery (e.g. cosmetics, fragrances, skincare)
Digital products or downloadable content once accessed
Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase
